The Big Southeast Asia Coffee Crawl

Planning a trip to visit different cities’ best coffee hotspots is definitely not a bad way to go about exploring our neighboring countrie.s

One of the things I truly enjoy is imbibing in the coffee culture of each country and city that I visit. There is something comforting and about being in a place where passion fuels the creation of a single drink that brings the world together. In a coffee shop, everyone slows down even for just a moment to savor a good cup of coffee, to enjoy a good book or to catch a conversation with a friend or a stranger. Everywhere you go, coffee shops have that same energy. You can be idle or productive, but it’s that same sedate and almost jovial environment every time.

I was able to see the best of what each country has to offer. Whether it is in the crazy hectic cities of Bangkok and Singapore, or even the quiet and well-manicured affluent neighbourhoods of Saigon,  coffee is an artisanal import and is a revered drink by locals and foreigners alike.

Here is a definitive list of all the major specialty coffee shops that I visited during my big Southeast Asian trip this July.
